Graham Kavanagh
Graham is the Managing Director of Modia Consulting having founded the company in 2008. Prior to rebranding the Dublin office of WMQS to Modia Consulting Graham was an Associate Director with Basil Conroy & Co. for a number of years and previously worked as a Quantity Surveyor with Bruce Shaw in Dublin. Graham graduated with a masters degree in Planning and Property Development from DIT Bolton Street in 2009 having completed his primary honours degree in Construction Economics and Management in Bolton Street in 2003. Graham is a Chartered Quantity Surveyor and is a member of the Society of Chartered Surveyors of Ireland and the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors. Graham’s expertise lies in concisely assessing the individual needs of a project and designing a bespoke service solution to ensure the project’s and clients objectives are achieved.
Nicholas Nolan
Nicholas is a Director of Modia Consulting and is based full time in the Kilkenny office. Nicholas completed his honours degree in Construction Economics and Management in 2003. He is a Chartered Quantity Surveyor and Member of the Society of Chartered Surveyors Ireland and the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors. Nicholas has experience in all aspects of the construction industry from project inception to final account stage. He has gained a broad and unique knowledge base working in previous roles for professional practices and building contractors. Nicholas is dedicated to achieving the Client’s goals and delivering projects both on time and within budget, this is an ethos that is followed by the company as a whole.
John Keane
John has over ten years’ experience in construction ranging across a wide variety of sectors. John graduated from Limerick Institute of Technology in 2005 with a BSc in Construction Economics and Management. Following graduation from LIT John spent nearly four years with the Bruce Shaw Partnership working mainly in the Residential, Commercial and Education sectors. Following the downturn in the economy in 2008 John subsequently gained overseas experience in New Zealand where he was employed as a senior Project Quantity Surveyor for clients such as Westpac Bank, the Auckland Rail Authority and IBM. In 2010 John returned to Ireland and spent two years working in the pharmaceutical sector where he worked with blue chip clients such as Pepsi, Eli Lily, GKS and Intel. Having gained a wide range of PQS experience across the industry John now works closely with Main Contractors and private Clients providing estimating and tendering services in conjunction with post contract services. John is also a member of the Society of Chartered Surveyors of Ireland and the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors and is currently undertaking his APC to become a Chartered Quantity Surveyor.
Anthony McLoughlin
Anthony joined the Modia Consulting team in early 2014 as a Quantity Surveyor and project Estimator. Having graduated from Dublin Institute of Technology Bolton Street in 2012 on completion of his primary honours degree in Construction Economics and Management, Anthony began his career as a Graduate Cost Consultant for the Sweett Group (Ireland). Since joining Modia Consulting Anthony has worked on a wide range of projects from tender stage right through to final account agreement including many public sector projects. Anthony has a keen interest in the healthcare sector and has recently helped deliver ward refurbishments in the Coombe Hospital on time and on budget in a difficult live working environment. Anthony is also a member of the Society of Chartered Surveyors of Ireland and the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors and is currently undertaking his APC to become a Chartered Quantity Surveyor.

Ian Mathews
Ian Mathews joined Modia Consulting in May of 2014. Ian has extensive experience in client based quantity surveying pre and post contract services having worked with O’Reilly Hyland Tierney & Associates in Dublin and the Bruce Shaw Partnership in Limerick. Ian started working with ORHT in 2005 and completed his Construction Economics degree part time while gaining vital industry experience. Ian has worked with both public and private contracts covering most sectors of the construction industry including several large scale healthcare, educational and private development projects ranging in size from small scale works up to multi million euro schemes. While working with Modia Consulting Ian has brought several projects from appointment and tender award to final account with a great deal of success. Ian has experience of working with both client and contractors covering all facets of the Quantity Surveying discipline, which is a distinct advantage when meeting the industry requirements in today’s challenging climate.
