Social Housing at Dunleer

Modia Consulting were appointed by Louth County Council and the Architects to provide full pre and post contract quantity surveying services for a development of two dwellings to be used as Traveller accommodation in Dunleer, Co. Louth. The service provided for the production of a fully detailed budget document which helped inform design decisions throughout the final stages of the design process. A full Bill of quantities was produced which was then used as a contract document to value changes and interim payments. This project was unique in that it was one of the first projects procured under the new forms of Government contracts.

Project Details: The project consisted of two dwellings each approximately 1,500sq.ft. The dwellings were traditionally built and fully insulated in accordance with the building regulations. The roof was a traditional cut roof with slate finish.

Project Team: Gerry Cahill Architects | Lee McCullough Engineers | Modia Consulting | Bloomfield Builders
