Modia Consulting were appointed by the private clients to provide full pre and post contract quantity surveying services for a high quality new one-off c.1,950sq.ft dwelling located on the sea front in Skerries, Co. Dublin. The service provided for the production of a fully detailed budget document which helped inform design decisions throughout the final stages of the design process. A full Bill of quantities was produced which was then used as a contract document to value changes and interim payments. There were a number of specialist packages included in the contract as PC Sums and these were tendered and controlled by Modia Consulting and the Clients.

Project Details: This spectacular once off development involved the conversion of an old sea side forge into a modern and contemporary dwelling house with scenic views across Skerries Harbour. The use of modern materials resulted in a very contemporary feel and has greatly added to the vista of the shore. The clients were fully engaged in the cost control process and material selection which resulted in a very polished end project which was brought in on time and budget.
